Qualified Tax Collectors

DCED is doing its best to get the credit data into the new system.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing the qualified tax collectors in Pennsylvania.  However, we want to ensure you that everyone will be notified if they maintained their qualification and will receive a 2012 certificate.  We will be sure to reach out to all of the collectors who were qualified in 2011 that we don’t have credit information for prior to them losing their qualification.  It may be as simple as them submitting the credits or resubmitting if they’ve already done so and we don’t have a record of it. 

At this point, I would encourage the tax collectors to be patient, keep records of the credits they’ve taken in 2011 for verification purposes, and assume they are qualified if they did get the education credits and can prove the credits were valid.

The individuals are listed by the county in which they reside. They are qualified under this program to serve as Tax Collectors anywhere within the Commonwealth.
