Pollution Prevention Assistance Account Program (PPAA)

Assistance for small businesses to implement pollution prevention and energy-efficiency projects, enabling these businesses to adopt or install equipment or processes that reduce pollution, energy use or raw materials.

Uses

Machinery and equipment acquisition and installation

Funding

75% of total eligible project cost,up to a maximum of $100,000

Eligibility

Small businesses (100 full-time employees or less) that adopts or installs pollution prevention or energy efficient equipment or processes directly related to the business activity.

Terms

2% interest rate. Up to 10-year term.

FAQs

Size of Business shall be 100 or less full-time employees and location of business shall be in the State of Pennsylvania.

The Determination of Eligibility Application must first be submitted and approved by the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) before a loan application can be submitted to DCED.
