Reinhart FoodService LLC
The nation's third-largest foodservice distributor constructs a new distribution center in Coal Township, Northumberland County with help from the Governor’s Action Team and $2 million in funding from the Department of Community and Economic Development.
Continued growth in the foodservice industry necessitated a new distribution center.
Funding & Programs
In addition to help from the Governor’s Action Team to locate the site for their new distribution center, Reinhart received a financial package totaling $2 million, including:
- $150,000 in Job Training Assistance
- A $100,000 Opportunity Grant
- A $500,000 Machinery and Equipment Loan
- A $1.25 million loan through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority
Reinhart's new distribution center will also be tax-exempt for up to 12 years because of its location in a Keystone Opportunity Zone.
Already located in Pennsylvania, Reinhart, a privately held wholesale distributor of food and related products, was eager to work with the state to identify the location of their next distribution center site in the SEEDCO Industrial Park, one of the state's Keystone Opportunity Zones. The project includes construction of a 230,000-square-foot food distribution building and the addition of 110 jobs over the next three years.
