In an attempt to bridge the technological divide, Pennsylvania supports IT initiatives that promote business growth and economic development through collaboratives, councils and e-business, including the following:

• e-Business Technical Assistance Program – This program seeks to increase e-business capabilities and provide free technical assistance to small and medium-sized businesses in disadvantaged areas.
• Technology Collaborative – The Technology Collaborative brings together companies, universities and private organizations to offer the best in research, talent and recruitment, electronics infusion, expansion support, and education and training.
• eBizITPA – eBizITPA assists companies of every size, specifically in education and training programs in e-business and advanced information technology.
• Technology Councils – Tech councils address the needs of their members and attract national and international attention to technology industries in Pennsylvania. The councils present programs, events, and create print and web publications.
