Wind Energy
It seems like PA was built for success in the renewable energy market. In addition to a wealth of manufacturing expertise and a hardworking, educated workforce, the state is well-situated with an infrastructure needed to build a successful supply chain. Pennsylvania's geographical location gives companies access to crucial North American markets, most notably the East Coast and Midwest.
Pennsylvania is already ahead of the pack when it comes to making a mark in the wind energy industry with big name companies like Gamesa and Iberdrola. But that doesn't mean that we're satisfied just yet. To further our goal of making PA the top location for investors of wind energy, we're working with manufacturers and suppliers to increase capacity in preparation for future opportunities.
Pennsylvania's Wind Energy Supply Chain Initiative attracts wind and renewable energy firms by fostering a cooperative process between suppliers, manufacturers, and the Commonwealth. Working together, we can bridge supply gaps, increase capacity, and strengthen our overall position in the U.S. renewable energy sector.
