This Fund is a grant program administered by DCED. Funds are provided from the PUC, by an assessment of the basic rate changes of CenturyLink, Verizon and Windstream. BOAF is designed to assist rural community’s aggregate demand for broadband services. The goal is for rural communities to overcome challenges associated with low density populations and physically remote areas in procuring broadband services. Grant assistance is provided to qualified applications to implement outreach programs concerning the benefits, uses and procurement of broadband services as well as providing the ability to aggregate the demand in communities with little or no broadband availability.

Grants to designated not-for-profit community service and economic opportunity agencies to establish programs that provide matching funds to a low-income persons own savings.

The Pennsylvania Festival Marketing Initiative is an initiative of the Pennsylvania Tourism Office in association with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA). The goal of this initiative is to identify a roster of local and regional festivals and special events which can help Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO) to increase inbound traffic and overnight hotel stays in Pennsylvania’s seven tourism regions.

The Pennsylvania Tourism Office is now seeking nominations for the Keystone Society for Tourism. The Keystone Society for Tourism was established to honor those who have made outstanding contributions to tourism in Pennsylvania.

Provides grants to local entities to carry out home modification programs that will enable low-and moderate-income persons with physical disabilities of all ages to make their home more accessible.

Funding is provided to Regional Film Offices that promote and facilitate film and television production in Pennsylvania as a means to increase economic activity and create jobs in the Commonwealth.

The purpose of the Regional Marketing Partnership Grant Program provides funding for sound marketing efforts and partnership development to promote Pennsylvania. Two types of grants are available: place-based and experience-based.

The Five-Year Strategic Tourism Plan 2010 highlighted Pennsylvania’s ability to attract a consistent flow of visitors year around, but also recognized a need to develop assets to help increase visitor length of stays. Reversing this trend is the commonwealth’s most pressing tourism opportunity and challenge. The Tourist Product Development Program provides funding to support and develop heritage assets, enhance outdoor recreation and support the growth or development of various events.
